Executive Housekeeper for a Private Residence in the Upper East Side, NYC <br /><br />A warm and kind family in New York City is seeking a best-in-class full-charge Executive Housekeeper to take responsibility for the smooth, polished operation of their home.<br /><br />The principals have pre-teen children and one small hypoallergenic dog. They are looking for a highly experienced, hands-on professional who leads by example and takes pride in maintaining an exceptionally well-run home. This is a full-change role for someone who can seamlessly move between daily housekeeping, deep cleaning, household organization, and overseeing the finer details that keep everything running beautifully.<br /><br />The ideal candidate has a high EQ and will diplomatically mentor the existing team, working alongside them to elevate systems, standards, and day-to-day execution. The family has high standards and values excellence, but they see themselves as more relaxed and less formal than many New York City households. They are seeking someone with a positive, professional demeanor and a collaborative, no-job-too-small mentality.<br /><br />The residence is in a full-service, luxury building on the UES.<br /><br />Immediate interviews available.<br /><br />Key Responsibilities and Qualifications: <br /><br />Take full-charge responsibility for the daily care, deep cleaning, and presentation of the residence.<br /><br /> Manage household laundry with expert care, including delicate garments, linens, and specialty fabrics.<br /><br /> Maintain exceptional organization throughout the home, including wardrobes, closets, drawers, kitchen storage, and household systems.<br /><br /> Provide knowledgeable care for fine furnishings, surfaces, decorative items, and specialty materials.<br /><br /> Manage household inventories and ensure supplies, toiletries, pantry items, and cleaning products are consistently stocked.<br /><br /> Handle household shopping and errands as needed and assist with light household support tasks to keep the home running smoothly.<br /><br /> Work hands-on alongside the existing household team, mentoring and modeling best practices while helping to maintain a calm, efficient, high-standard environment.<br /><br /> Learn the habits of the family and schedule the team to offer the family as much privacy as possible.<br /><br />Qualifications: <br /><br />Significant prior experience as an Executive Housekeeper or senior-level Housekeeper in a private home, with high standards.<br /><br /> Excellent, verifiable references.<br /><br /> A meticulous eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the confidence to take ownership of a full-charge role.<br /><br /> Strong communication skills and a professional, discreet manner when interacting with the family and household staff.<br /><br /> A flexible, adaptable approach and a collaborative personality suited to a more casual household culture with very high expectations.<br /><br /> An experienced leader who has a track record of developing the skills of those around them and fostering a strong team culture.<br /><br /> Comfortable mentoring existing staff, setting an example through hands-on work, and helping refine household systems and routines.<br /><br /> Must enjoy working in a home with children and a small hypoallergenic dog.<br /><br />.<br /><br /> Schedule <br /><br />MondayFriday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.<br /><br /> Some days will start at 12:00 pm or 2:00 pm if there is a dinner planned.<br /><br /> Some flexibility to work additional hours as needed is appreciated.<br /><br />Compensation <br /><br />Salary range $130,000 to $150,000 commensurate with experience<br /><br /> If you have higher salary expectations, please explain in a cover letter.<br /><br /> Benefits include: <br /><br />Fully paid healthcare for the employee and dependents<br /><br /> 401(k) with match<br /><br /> Life insurance<br /><br /> PTO<br /><br />#indhp
