</span> Responsible for technical supplier oversight regarding manufacturing and manufacturing development projects for nuclear instrumentation & control (I&C) systems and electrical components.  The manufacturing engineer will provide consultation to NuScale design organizations regarding manufacturing, specify and collect product manufacturing requirements including all standards and specifications, and generally act as a primary point of contact between NuScale design organizations and manufacturing suppliers for technical information and communications.  The manufacturing engineer will apply industry expertise, codes and standards, and regulatory guidance in the general area of I&C manufacturing and supply chain development.</span></p><p style="text-align: style="font-weight: bold;">UTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</span><span style="font-weight: bold;">:</span><span style="font-weight: bold;"> </span></span></p><ol><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif , arial , helvetica;font-size: 10.0pt;">Interact daily with NuScale design organizations to interpret their needs and requirements to manufacturing entities.</span></li><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif , arial , helvetica;font-size: 10.0pt;">Contributes to the NuScale design organizations by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials. </span></li><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif , arial , helvetica;font-size: 10.0pt;">Perform subcontract technical lead duties by preparing requirements documents and schedules, coordinating and monitoring the technical aspects of assigned manufacturing and manufacturing development projects.</span></li><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif , arial , helvetica;font-size: 10.0pt;">Review manufacturing documentation of supplier to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, standards, and QA/QC requirements.</span></li><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif , arial , helvetica;font-size: 10.0pt;">Develop, check, or review internal drawings, studies, and specifications</span></li><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif , arial , helvetica;font-size: 10.0pt;">Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions</span></li><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif , arial , helvetica;font-size: 10.0pt;">Monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance with procedures, applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.</span></li><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif , arial , helvetica;font-size: 10.0pt;">Manage supplier manufacturing mockup planning and test results to ensure desired outcomes are achieved. </span></li><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif , arial , helvetica;font-size: 10.0pt;">Performing surveys of new manufacturing suppliers to assess capabilities and documenting survey results.</span></li><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif , arial , helvetica;font-size: 10.0pt;">Perform/coordinate grading of technical proposals and working with Procurement team for supplier selection.</span></li><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif , arial , helvetica;font-size: 10.0pt;">Assist Product Cost Management team with cost estimates and value engineering studies.</span></li><li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: sans-serif , arial , helvetica;font-size: 10.0pt;">Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing manufacturing information and trends including statistical analysis of manufacturing trends.</span></li><li style="text-align: justify;"><span Demonstrated project management skills along with strong technical writing skills and use of software including Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and normal MS Office software is required. IEEE code experience is preferred.
