<a href="https://www.kapwing.com">Kapwing</a> is looking for a skilled YouTube video creator to take strategic ownership of our YouTube channel. The <a href="https://www.youtube.com/kapwing" style="text-decoration: none;">@Kapwing YouTube channel </a>has over 200,000 subscribers and reaches a diverse global audience of creators, from social media teams and students to marketing professionals and businesses. We’re looking to bring on a talented Content Strategist to lead the channel’s next phase of creative direction. Our mission on YouTube is to empower modern storytellers through videos that are educational, inspiring, and entertaining. You’ll plan, produce, and star in videos that teach modern video editing skills, explore trends, and solve real problems for creators. You’ll also experiment with new growth strategies to grow the channel, collaborate with other creators, and report on the business impact of our YouTube content. This is a full-time role reporting to the Head of Content. The position is based in San Francisco and follows a hybrid schedule of two days in the office and three days remote each week. Responsibilities<ul> <li> Create and publish 1–3 high-quality full YouTube videos per week (tutorials, news, and edutainment) </li> <li> Own the full production process: ideation, scripting, filming, editing, and publishing </li> <li> Serve as an on-camera host and lead creator interviews </li> <li> Optimize videos for growth through titles, thumbnails, SEO, and retention strategies </li> <li> Collaborate with the content team and the CEO on content strategy, series </li> <li> Identify and capitalize on viral trends, formats, and new video storytelling opportunities </li> <li> Repurpose content across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, landing pages) </li> <li> Become a Kapwing product expert, collaborating with product managers to ensure our product remains best in clas </li> </ul> Who You Are<div> <ul> <li> A creator at heart — you’ve built or contributed to a YouTube channel with 1,000+ subs </li> <li> Comfortable and confident on camera </li> <li> Skilled in video editing and storytelling </li> <li> Obsessed with creator trends and video storytelling </li> <li> Highly independent — you can take an idea from concept to publication </li> <li> Strong communicator who can connect with creators, partners, and users </li> </ul> </div> Requirements<ul> <li> Experience creating and editing YouTube content, including on-camera content </li> <li> Strong understanding of YouTube content formats and audience behavior </li> <li> Experience writing video titles and designing video thumbnails </li> <li> Passion for AI tools like ChatGPT, Premiere, and Kapwing </li> </ul> <div>$70,000 - $100,000 a year</div> About Kapwing <a href="https://www.kapwing.com/" style="text-decoration: none;">Kapwing</a> is a collaborative, online content creation platform and AI video editor used by over 10 million creators worldwide.
