Sr Application Support Engineer, SAP Delivery Lead</p> <p> </p> <h2>Job Description</h2> <p>Sr SAP Support Engineers are responsible for delivering and overseeing the delivery of technical support to client SAP landscapes and satellite systems. They are responsible for the technical aspects of enhancing, updating and deploying critical changes, designing new solutions, and creating procedures in the SAP area. They are also the main delivery contact for a few client accounts.</p> <h2>Job Duties</h2> <ul> <li>Provide the single point of contact for planning and scheduling client technical maintenance and upgrade activities.</li> <li>Interface with client technical staff on regular meetings and help with planning and recommendations for improvement.</li> <li>Perform project-based and production support responsibilities as needed to support apiphani managed client environments inclusive of: SAP system migrations, SAP landscape refreshes, data protection including database backup & recovery, HA configurations and ongoing SAP system maintenance activities, e.g., SAP performance management, patching, problem management, etc.</li> <li>Build and maintain comprehensive documentation for problem resolution actions, root cause, procedures, etc.</li> <li>Drive continual improvement in systems operations through collaboration with both delivery and development teams.</li> <li>Actively engage in root cause analysis, in collaboration with software development and other delivery teams.</li> <li>Participate in development initiatives to improve operational performance.</li> <li>Collaborate with team leaders and team members to review workflow processes and SOPs.</li> <li>Execute against defined projects and report on their progress.</li> <li>Train and mentor new team members.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h2>Required Skills</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent work experience</li> <li>8-10 years of relevant hands-on SAP Basis engineering with one or more area of focus.</li> <li>3+ years of experience as an SAP Basis engineer in a service provider or advanced IT organization operating in a 24x7 environment</li> <li>Solid background administering SAP HANA databases</li> <li>Solid background administering SAP Sybase databases</li> <li>Understanding of SAP security principals</li> <li>Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ansible preferred</li> <li>Experience with configuration management and automation tools</li> <li>Familiarity with agile engineering practices (Kanban, continuous delivery, etc.)</li> <li>Experience working in ITSM tools, ServiceNow preferred</li> <li>AWS and Azure service usage on commercial or government cloud</li> <li>Development experience with a high-level language such as python or java a plus</li> <li>Strong analytical and critical thinking skills</li> <li>Strong ownership bias</li> <li>Deadline and detail-oriented<br><br></li> </ul> <p>This position is fully remote.</p> <p>This position requires US Citizenship—work must be done within the borders of the US.</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">Base Salary</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$120,000</span><span class="divider">—</span><span>$140,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><h2>Company Benefits*</h2> <ul> <li>Medical/dental/vision - 100% paid for employees, 50% paid for dependents</li> <li>Life and disability - 100% paid for employees</li> <li>401K - 3% contribution, no employee contribution necessary </li> <li>Education and tuition reimbursement - up to $50K annually</li> <li>Employee Stock Options Plan </li> <li>Accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity benefits offered through our providers</li> <li>Employee Assistance Program </li> <li>Legal assistance</li> <li>Paid Time Off - up to 6 weeks per year </li> <li>Sick Leave - up to 2 weeks per year</li> <li>Parental Leave - up to 12 weeks </li> </ul> <p>*<em>Benefits listed in the job description apply to employees working in the United States.
