Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive reservoir characterization studies using geological and engineering data. Develop and maintain detailed reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software. Analyze well performance data and production trends to identify opportunities for optimization. Perform economic evaluations and feasibility studies for reservoir development projects. Predict reservoir performance under various operational scenarios. Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and management to develop integrated field development plans. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and stakeholders. Evaluate new technologies and methodologies for reservoir management. Mentor junior reservoir engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas sector. Proven expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, PETREL RE, INTERSECT). Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid flow in porous media, and formation evaluation. Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and uncertainty assessment. Experience with economics and project management principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information effectively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with unconventional reservoir development is a plus.
