<p>Valley Health has exclusively retained Kirby Bates Associates to conduct a search for a newly created position, Senior Director, Patient Logistics and System Command Center (Patient Logistics, Capacity and Virtual Care). Winchester Medical Center has been named one of America’s Best Maternity Hospitals for 2025 by Newsweek.</p><p><br></p><p>The Senior Director role offers an opportunity for a dynamic, innovative, and patient-centered leader to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Patient Logistics & System Command Center—a centralized, systemwide operational hub responsible for patient flow, bed placement, transfer center operations, virtual care services, emergency clinical communications, and logistics, with real-time operational decision-making. This role integrates patient progression and throughput, remote patient care programs (central telemetry, virtual sitting, virtual nursing), EMS/transport coordination, and systemwide situational awareness to enhance capacity management, safety, and clinical efficiency.</p><p><br></p><p>The Senior Director ensures standardization of workflows, predictive analytics adoption, and consistent operational leadership across all facilities. Reports to the Chief Nursing Executive.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Opportunity Highlights</strong></p><p>· Magnet - Winchester Medical Center is a four-time Magnet designated organization.</p><p>· Impactful Leadership: Join a senior executive team committed to performance improvement, and a positive patient experience.</p><p>· System Support: Collaborate across Valley Health System.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>· Master’s degree in clinical health related field, nursing preferred.</p><p>· Current RN license in the state of VA (or ability to obtain), preferred.</p><p>· Certifications for ideal candidates: NEA-BC, CENP, FACHE, Lean Six Sigma, project/change management</p><p>· Seven years of progressive healthcare operations experience, with 3-5 years in leadership managing pt flow, bed management, transfer center operations, or command center functions.</p><p>· Experience with centralized operations or technology-enabled visibility programs and partnering across nursing, operations, ancillary teams, and clinical leadership.</p><p>· Deep knowledge of throughput operations, bed placement criteria, transfer workflows, EMTALA, virtual care, telemetry, and remote observation programs.</p><p>· Knowledge of EPIC highly preferred.</p><p>· Strong analytical and operational decision-making skills.</p>
