You will act as the advisor to the CIO and provide architectural guidance, technology governance and oversee the systems landscape, creating to-be architectures in line with the client business objectives.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong></p><ul><li>Assess overall alignment between business and technology roadmaps</li><li>Evaluate solutions alignment with the end user experience</li><li>Create, own and maintain the Architectural Artifacts (building blocks, models, governance, architecture and unified roadmaps, etc.).</li><li>Collaborate on the creation and maintenance of the enterprise business capability model.</li><li>Guide cross-functional teams (Application, Integration, Infrastructure and data ) to facilitate the creation of optimal architectures which align to the business plan</li><li>Provide technical leadership and advise business units and technology groups</li><li>Apply analytical thought processes to quickly understand technical challenges discovered during the life-cycle of the initiative</li><li>Learn new technology concepts swiftly and comprehensively</li><li>Evaluate how security impacts the design & development process of various solutions</li><li>Lead the documentation and analysis of the current state of all of the IT environments</li><li>Collaborate on defining future state architectures and develop gap plans</li><li>Collaborate extensively with IT Leaders and technical delivery teams to ensure alignment of best practices and standards</li><li>Work with architects from client partners to align and govern end to end solutions</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Your Knowledge and Experience </strong></p><ul><li>At least 5 years’ experience in working as an enterprise or solution architect designing and implementing large-scale systems</li><li>At least 5 years’ experience in creating clear, concise documentation for a multi-tier architectural model and to discuss technical matters effectively with business end users</li><li>Strong retail system and process knowledge (Kiosk, Stock management, Finance, 3PL and digital)</li><li>Strong communication skills with both technical and business professionals</li><li>Teamwork & collaboration skills to work across organisations and lead cross-functional teams</li><li>Ability to learn and work with new application providers driving change and disruption across retail</li><li>Thorough knowledge of business function and in-depth knowledge of business operations, objectives, and strategies</li><li>Understanding of cloud offerings in the market and ability to explain relevance of cloud architectures</li><li>Strong knowledge of the security operations, standards & issues involved in multi-tier, multi-tenant web applications</li><li>Track record of being proactive, identifying gaps, making constructive suggestions and follow through to resolution</li><li>Proven ability to creatively problem-solve for various types of issue in multiple disciplines</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Your Personality </strong></p><ul><li>Energetic & driven</li><li>Flexible</li><li>Innovative</li><li>Resilient</li><li>Insightful</li><li>Creative</li><li>Problem solver</li><li>Sound judgement</li><li>Analytical</li><li>Capacity to learn</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>If you'd like to find out more about this exciting opportunity, please get in touch without delay!</strong></p>
