Reports to: VMS Supervisor/Operations Manager/Plant Supervisor
Purpose of Position:
Service a fleet of Light Trucks, and Equipment, performing preventative maintenance (lube oil/filter, check hoses, lights, fluids, tires, fluid changes).
Educational Requirements:
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience and Background:
Minimum of 1 year experience in the automotive industry, vocational technical school.
Certificates, Licenses and Requirements:
Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile, truck and equipment.
Team player with good customer service, communication skills and very safe work ethics.
Must be able to read and interpret instructions & manuals.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (oral and written), able to follow instructions and adhere to company policies & procedures.
North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Card preferred, not required.
Valid Driver License that meets ICE Services insurance criteria.
Ability to adhere to strict policy and procedures per company and OSHA requirements.
Must pass a pre-hire drug test, breath alcohol test, occupational fitness test, criminal background check and computer-based testing.
Pass a motor vehicle report and possess an acceptable safe driving record.
Commercial Driver’s license class B or better required with air brake endorsement (preferred).
DOT/medical card required.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Assist in other work areas/tasks as required.
Rotational schedule of at least 11.50 per day for a minimum of 21 days consecutively as required.
Ability to lift & carry 50 pounds on regular basis, routine walking, standing, bending. There is a lack of immediate access to critical medical services as well as urban community services.
