Learning Coaches hold regular 1:1 meetings with students, review academic pacing and progress, update plans of study, coordinate with teachers, provide retention insights, and document all communication using standardized tools. This role directly contributes to consistency in student support, clarity in expectations, and alignment across the academic and student support teams. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Reporting to the Head Learning Coach, Learning Coaches provide structured guidance, maintain active communication, and help students develop the routines and skills needed for success in a flexible online environment. This is a full-time remote role that requires professionalism, responsiveness, strong documentation, and comfort managing a structured workload across student time zones. </span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></h2> </div><div><p><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Student Support & Communication:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Serve as the main point of contact for a roster of middle and/or high school students. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Hold regular 1:1 virtual meetings to support pacing, planning, organization, and academic expectations. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain consistent communication with students and families; provide timely responses through approved communication channels. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Offer encouragement, accountability, and problem-solving support. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Represent student’s needs in conversations with teachers, counselors, and other school staff. </span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Academic Guidance & Planning:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Conduct onboarding and orientation for new students. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Update Plans of Study and assist with course planning, sequencing, and changes. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Understand and communicate graduation requirements, NCAA eligibility considerations, and AP course processes. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Monitor pacing and academic progress; identify concerns early and implement academic support measures. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Refer students to the appropriate school support services (GOAL, counseling, teacher 1:1s) as needed. </span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Documentation & Professional Standards:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain accurate notes, communication logs, and student status updates in school systems. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Prepare and share regular student progress updates with families. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Follow standardized processes and use required tools for documentation and reporting. </span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Team Collaboration & School Engagement:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Participate in weekly coaching meetings and training sessions. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Engage in 1:1 check-ins with the Head Learning Coach and Head of Community Life. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Partner with teachers, counselors, and the support team. </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Contribute and adapt to evolving needs of the school community and take on additional responsibilities as assigned. </span></li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:</b></h2> </div><div><p><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ideal candidates often come from backgrounds where coaching, structured support, and relationship-centered work are central to the role.
