Position Overview
We are seeking highly skilled commercial drivers to join our team as a Residential Route Driver. In this essential municipal role, you will pilot a complex Automated Side Loader (ASL) or Rear Loader garbage truck through a dedicated residential route. Essential Responsibilities
Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely operate a massive Class B commercial vehicle. For ASL trucks, you will utilize complex joystick controls and camera systems to grab, dump, and replace residential waste bins efficiently.
Route Execution: Execute a sprawling daily route, navigating tight cul-de-sacs, avoiding parked cars, and maintaining extreme vigilance for pedestrians in suburban environments.
Transfer Operations: Safely navigate the heavy-machinery environment of the local landfill or recycling transfer station to empty your payload at the end of the route.
Safety Compliance: Conduct highly rigorous DOT pre-trip inspections of the truck's complex hydraulic systems, air brakes, and mechanical arms to ensure flawless daily operation.
Qualifications and Benefits
Applicants must be 21 years of age or older with a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL-B) equipped with an Air Brake endorsement. A highly secure motor vehicle record is required.
