Job DetailsSalary Range: $31.00 - $40.00 HourlySchuman Cheese is seeking a Strategic Account Representative (Customer Service) to join our high-performing Club team and help support some of the most visible accounts in the business, including customers like Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, BJ’s. This is a customer-facing, high-visibility role that delivers world-class, concierge-level service while serving as a direct liaison between customers, Sales Representatives, and key Schuman departments. The person in this role will help drive exceptional execution across order processing, issue resolution, and customer advocacy, while building confidence with both internal and external partners through responsiveness, sound judgment, and follow-through. This role also interfaces directly with members of the family and the leadership team, so the right candidate must be comfortable operating with confidence, professionalism, and presence in high-exposure situations. We are looking for someone who brings high energy, high effort, and a readiness to perform in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly and expectations remain high. This is an opportunity for a standout customer service professional to join an already strong team and help elevate it even further.Qualifications
5 or more years of experience in customer service, supply chain coordination, account management, or related business support roles is required; experience working with club customers or large retail supply chains such as Costco, Sam’s, or Wal-Mart is a plus.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; experience working within Sage X3 or a similar ERP system is a plus.
Familiarity with EDI transaction sets and order processing workflows preferred.
Excellent customer communication skills, including the ability to tailor messaging to the audience and build professional business relationships.
Above average written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute as a team player.
Strong data management, analytical, troubleshooting, and research skills, with the ability to identify issues and support effective resolution.
Skilled in problem solving, time management, and multitasking while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Organized, dependable, and results oriented, with strong follow-through and a high sense of urgency.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.
Self-directed with the ability to work independently with limited direction, while also collaborating effectively within a team.
Demonstrates sound judgment and the ability to make business decisions that support both the customer and Schuman Cheese.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 10am – 7pm CST or 8am - 5pm PST. Expectations of 45 hours per week, to be worked during normal business hours.
