<strong>Position Summary<br><br></strong>We are seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Clinical Team Member to support our busy outpatient practice in Tupelo, MS. This role is open to <strong>Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)</strong> based on licensure/certification and clinical experience. The Clinical Team Member is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supporting providers, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.<br><br>This position requires a compassionate, organized individual who can work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, clinical support staff, and administrative teams to provide excellent patient care and service.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>Clinical Duties (varies by licensure level):<br><br></strong><ul><li>Take accurate vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiratory rate) and document findings in the electronic medical record (EMR). </li><li>Room patients, review reason for visit, chief complaint, medication lists, allergies, and document clinical information. </li><li>Prepare patients for examination by providers (RN/LPN/MA task as appropriate). </li><li>Assist providers during clinical procedures, treatments, and minor interventions. </li><li>Administer medications and immunizations as permitted by licensure and clinic policy (RNs and LPNs). </li><li>Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., glucose checks, EKGs if trained/authorized). </li><li>Perform wound care, suture/staple removal, dressing changes (skill level assessed by licensure/experience). </li><li>Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication instructions, and follow-up care. </li><li>Document all patient encounters accurately in EMR and communicate results to providers. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Administrative & Support Duties<br><br></strong><ul><li>Schedule follow-up visits, diagnostic testing, and hospital procedures. </li><li>Coordinate referrals and authorizations. </li><li>Respond to patient requests for medication refills and clinical inquiries. </li><li>Maintain clinical supply inventory and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked. </li><li>Adhere to infection control standards, HIPAA policies, and clinic safety procedures. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>Required (for all candidates):</strong> <br><br><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Relevant clinical certification/license:</li><ul><li>RN: Active and unencumbered RN license in Mississippi. </li><li>LPN: Active and unencumbered LPN license in Mississippi. </li></ul><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days). </li><li>Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records. </li><li>Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills. <br></li></ul><strong>Preferred<br><br></strong><ul><li>1+ years of experience in a physician practice, urgent care, or outpatient setting. </li><li>Experience with orthopedic, sports medicine, or specialty care. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills And Competencies<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability to take patient histories, assess clinical conditions, and escalate concerns appropriately. </li><li>Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced clinical environment. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. </li><li>Maintains strict patient confidentiality and professional standards. </li><li>Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and empathy in patient interactions. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist patients as needed. </li><li>Must be able to lift supplies and assist with patient positioning when necessary. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Why Join Us<br><br></strong><ul><li>Collaborative, patient-centered clinical environment. </li><li>Opportunity to work across clinical skill levels and grow your expertise. </li><li>Supportive leadership and ongoing education.</li></ul>
